How To Host A Memorable Graduation Party

How To Host A Memorable Graduation Party

Your baby is graduating and it’s time to celebrate! Renee Patrone, CEO of Party Host Helpers, has a few ideas to throw a great graduation party that won’t compete with any tuition bills. Here are her little inexpensive shortcuts to help commemorate this big occasion:

Portrait Perfect

Use your beaming grad’s face to help decorate the graduation party. Create a photo garland, frame old baby pictures, even use cover tables with photo collages and put a piece of plexiglass on top. It’s inexpensive to print out these memories and some places will even print 4×4 square photos straight from an Instagram account in less than an hour.

Play on Words

Have fun with graduation themes and serve up these diploma-like cookies – just add a ribbon! You can also fill a giant vase with Smarties candies. Write fun names on mini chalkboard signs to label food such as “head of the class cupcakes,” “commencement cookies,” or “college cheeseboard,” etc.

Mix in the Future

If your graduate is heading off to college, incorporate those school’s colors in your theme through disposable napkins, tablecloths and plates all the way to banners, balloons or garlands. At your local craft store, grab the hollow numbers for 2016 and instead of standing up them, lay them flat and fill with candies that match the school’s colors.

Present Perfect

Help streamline presents and gifts for your graduate by having them create a graduation registry. It may seem excessive but it is an easy solution for all the people who will ask, “what do they need?” We like Dormco but you could also set up an Amazon Wishlist or a Target college registry. As your graduates will soon learn, practical purchases can make the best presents!
